WTF Is A Bullet Journal: BuzzFeed
This image is from buzzfeed and is so linked to the article.

So I had done happy planner for about 6 months and trying to keep up with filling it out, stickers, pens (I have alot of those) and more I had to stop. I was getting over whelmed and then it would trigger my anxiety and well lets say I feel people in hell had a wayyyy better chance getting ice water than me keeping up with it.

The great thing is that I did go back to my bullet journal and no I'm not trying to or will I ever try to keep up with all the beautiful and artistic ones I see on Pinterest (I know you hear me) and Instagram (yeah i'm talking to you). I'm doing it my way and for me and for the first time I am actually enjoying it.

So here are a few of my pages for the month of November and my personal theme is the fox from The Little Prince. I adore that book and simplicity of it and the conversations between the fox and the Little Prince are truly heart warming and honest.

These are a 3 from Leuchtturm1917 A5 dot grid bullet journal. I was gifted the journal and to be honest the one you can get at Michael's Craft Store for 5$ I like a bit more. But then again the first rule of bullet journaling is there is NO right or wrong way to bullet journal.

In my new journal I have things set up for me. I have my future log and calendex (all the months of the year) set up to track any and all holidays, birthdays, appointments, important dates. The next thing I have for me is books I've read. This way I can keep track of what I read and I will write the title of the book on the image of books on a book case. I have a weight loss tracker that I plan on starting next year to keep track of the weight I want to lose and make it to where I can visually see it, not just feel it. Then there are my goals for 2019. I have mine broken up as Financial, Health, Personal, Relations (such relationships), and Self-Care. I have a small reminder of MIT goals (Most Important Task) and SMART Goals (Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Relevant, Time Bound)....a way to remind myself to set obtainable goals even Rome wasn't built in a day!

I have a section and this is where the Happy Planner couldn't quite help me out. As you see in the middle picture I have things broken down in Zones. I'll post a link to Flylady so if your interested you can read up on that and tweak it to fit you and your needs. I used my Zebra Midliners to color coordinate what I need to do and when. I was all over the place with Happy Planner and my zones didn't quite work for me the way I needed them to.

I also do a monthly layout that lets me know what goal I am working towards to for the month, important dates, tasks that need to be done such as i.e Christmas cards addressed then when to mail them out by to get to everyone before the post office stops running for the Christmas holiday.

I then do weekly layouts to keep track of what is going on for the whole week. It lets me know what zones to clean in, what things need to get move to another day of the week, appointments, reminders and etc. I have mine set for me and I do theme's. Next month I'm doing nightmare before Christmas because honestly I don't overly care for massive amounts of snowmen, Santa clauses and more.  I'm a bit of a minimalist but I do decorate my tree with lots of ornaments and stuff like that but not outside or windows.

So I will be posting mad links on how to start a bullet journal, places to get free guides if you are needing templates and more. Just remember don't get discouraged about all the thousands of creative bullet journals you see. They too had to start some where and that is what works for them. Do what works for you!
