Ah what is it about when things change in your home everything goes nuts? Hubby and I have his girls here which is awesome we have fun when it's not currently raining. And everything has gone to the way side, well not everything.
My chores that I plan have gone to crap in a hand-basket and the dog has gone nuts. Nothing gets done really except for the trash, recycling (when they remember to put in the recycling bin), pets being fed and etc. I don't get it.
One day with all their help the whole house and mean the whole house was cleaned in about 45 min to an hour. But lately, it's YouTube, Netflix and hiding in rooms cos it's raining and honestly I have tons of chores to do. With that said and done another question comes to mind. This generation that we are raising are not self sufficient ( meaning can't clean dishes they use, do their own laundry; etc.) are we really raising them?
Here's an example: I cook dinner, everyone eats then they all put their dishes in the sink for me to clean. WTH....these kids in general are old enough to know how to wash dishes. Are we even setting a good example? I think about it and what these girls see is the that woman cooks and does everything and the man of the house doesn't help out until he notices that his significant other is needing help. I don't get it?
Eventually I hope that all our kids will soon (very soon) learn that they need help out in the chores to keep the house running smoothly and in the end make it too where one is only spot cleaning to get the house done. Everyone lives here and everyone should pitch in. Hello It's called family!
